General Manager wanted for Polish subsidiary company of international retail chain - with opportunity of joint ownership/residency in Warsaw.
THE COMPANY
Our client is represented within various countries through a list of retailers of over 100 inspirational shops, and it is one of Northern Europe's leading companies within its field.
It is a BtC market, where most stores are private owned. The rest are franchises.
THE POSITION
The position as General Manager in Poland (Warsaw) is a strategically important one concerning the future business development of the Polish company. The General Manager will have the overall responsibility of the Polish retail chain.
The General Manager will be reporting to the concerns Export Manager.
It is especially the retail area which will have to be optimised and further developed, as there is a big growth potential.
The structure within Poland consists of multiple sales units, which the organization will have to modify as well as further develop its competency so that the company will be able to improve its revenue significantly.
The General Manager will have a wide interface with the Danish concern, and will be supported by Sales, Marketing and Finances (controlling).
A strategy for the Polish market has to be devised - comprising development and improvement of sales and marketing - concerning both growth and revenue.
THE CANDIDATE
As a candidate you should have considerable international experience - especially concerning the Polish market - comprising mastery of Polish for negotiation purposes.
You should likewise have experience in managing and developing a retail organization.
You are used to working with strategic processes and will be the driving force in working out a new strategy for the Polish market
Success criteria:
The right General Manager should be an action oriented and dynamic autonomous person, a person who will be able to optimize and develop the sales organization.
One significant criteria of success will be to increase the profit over a short amount of time - and in the long run to significantly extend the retail network and the return.
Main tasks:
Budget-follow-up
Draw up a sales- and marketing strategy for the Polish market
Draw up a plan of action and follow it through
Implement concepts within the retail area
Find locations and develop the retail network
Optimize and develop the organization
SALARY & BENEFITS
Salary according to qualification and experience. Opportunity of joint ownership.
