CATEGORY MANAGER

Frames and sunglasses

Your responsibility as Category Manager is to ensure that Brilleland and Interoptik offer an optimal range of frames and sunglasses at all times. You will be part of the central department of category management, procurement and logistics.

Your main focus and tasks will be:

• Determine and execute assortment and purchasing strategy in consultation with company  management
• Continuously monitor the category`s performance in order to make timely adjustments
• Conduct market and competitor surveys and analyses
• Ensure deliveries to the different campaign plans, and provide relevant input into the preparation of these
• Participate in central procurement negotiations with suppliers to achieve competitive conditions and determine an efficient logistics and supply structure
• Maintain frequent and close contact with suppliers

You have a degree in economics / marketing, and some years of relevant working experience, preferably within product management/category management from well known and recognized trade companies, within FMCG or other retail sectors. Strong interest in fashion, trends and design is important. In addition, we will require a strong business understanding and very good analytical skills. It is expected that you take responsibility and initiative for the ongoing development of the category, and thereby contribute to the competitiveness and success of Brilleland and Interoptik in the Norwegian market.
